Financial Operating System

One login for banking, books, and the numbers you run on.

A single sign-on financial operating system that unifies FDIC-insured business banking, embedded AI bookkeeping, and real-time, vertical KPI dashboards — keeping financial data clean from the moment money moves, for independent medical (functional-medicine) and dental practices.

Round 2 · What changed since your review

Your comments drove four decisions.

  1. Beachhead = medical (functional-medicine) + dental. Restaurants move to a Phase-2 fast-follow, kept but parked. ADR-008
  2. Functional medicine is the medical entry point — Cerbo + Gusto become MVP integrations and the medical dashboard is elevated to MVP. ADR-009
  3. Next step is a Proof of Value — a ~1.5-month, dashboard-first (back-end-stubbed) test of "is this worth funding at scale?" ADR-010
  4. High-yield savings added as a Must-Have banking feature. ADR-011
  5. Restaurants retired for now. The restaurant use-case and all of its personas, journeys, and features are parked to Phase 2 and hidden by default to declutter the plan — kept, not killed, and recoverable at any time. ADR-008 · Parking Lot

The Problem

By the time the numbers arrive, they're too old to act on.

Owner-operators run a fragmented financial stack — and the data degrades at every handoff before it ever becomes a metric they can trust.

The stack today

A bank account

General-purpose business banking, disconnected from how the books are actually kept.

Plus

General accounting (QBO)

Raw bank feeds get miscategorized and mangled before they become usable numbers.

Plus

A bookkeeper

Manual cleanup that lands weeks late — and a P&L the owner only loosely trusts.

So hiring, vendor, and capital decisions get made on gut, not on timely numbers.

The Solution

Banking and bookkeeping, unified — so the data never degrades.

NewCo BaaS replaces the bank-plus-QBO-plus-bookkeeper stack with one platform built around a single principle: correctness is designed in, not reconciled after the fact.

FDIC-Insured Banking

Money movement, built for the vertical

White-labeled, FDIC-insured deposit accounts through a sponsor-bank partner — cards, ACH, deposits, and bill pay in one place.

Embedded AI Bookkeeping

Clean books, automatically

Automated categorization, reconciliation, and correct accounting — with accountant-backed human review for trust. Double-entry stays an internal correctness invariant, never surfaced to owners.

Vertical KPI Dashboards

The metrics you actually run on

Real-time dashboards purpose-built per vertical — not generic SMB charts that get filed and forgotten.

Who It's For

How It Works

Clean at the source — every step of the way.

Because money moves and gets recorded on the same platform, a transaction is categorized correctly the moment it happens and stays clean all the way to the dashboard and to tax.

STEP 01

Money moves

Card, ACH, deposit, or bill pay on the NewCo BaaS account.

STEP 02

Categorized at source

The AI engine codes it correctly into a vertical chart of accounts — exceptions flagged for review.

STEP 03

Books stay correct

A live ledger, reconciled automatically, with accountant oversight.

STEP 04

Decisions, in real time

Vertical KPIs update continuously — effective month-end close in under a day.

Why NewCo BaaS Wins

Vertical depth where the incumbents are horizontal.

01

Built for medical and dental

Mercury serves startups; Baselane serves real estate. NewCo BaaS is purpose-built for the operating metrics of independent medical (functional-medicine) and dental practices.

02

One system, one login

Incumbents offer dashboards; none combine banking with single-sign-on financial management for the owner/CEO/CFO. Banking and books are one system — data is never handed between tools that mangle it.

03

Clean-at-the-source architecture

Timely, trustworthy metrics are the default state of the system, not the output of monthly manual cleanup.

04

Founder-market fit

Built by Mike Bisbee, a CFP/EA fractional CFO who lives the clean-data problem — with an existing client base and accountant network as the first design partners and channel.

05

A main-street brand, not venture fintech

Veteran-owned, legacy-focused, and built to last — resonant with owner-operators and distinct from the venture-styled incumbents.

The Build

A sequenced path from beachhead to category.

A full feature set is defined across the plan; the MVP combines banking, clean books, and a core vertical dashboard, proven with design partners.

Phase 1MVP

Prove it with design partners

0–12 months
  • FDIC-insured banking via a sponsor-bank partner
  • AI categorization, clean ledger, exception review
  • One lead vertical's KPI dashboard, end to end
  • Pilot cohort from Mike's client network
Phase 2Growth

Reach product-market fit

12–24 months
  • Expand to restaurants (the Phase-2 vertical)
  • Deeper PMS, POS, and payroll integrations (inventory, etc.)
  • Accountant referral channel as a repeatable engine
  • Ancillary advisory services and working-capital lending
Phase 3Category

Own the financial OS

24+ months
  • Category leadership in both verticals
  • Expand into adjacent main-street verticals
  • Diversify across interchange, deposits, lending, benchmarking
  • Build durable data and underwriting advantages
The Path Forward

What it takes to start.

The near-term decisions that turn this definition into a working MVP.

→ 01

Run the Proof of Value

A ~1.5-month, dashboard-first prototype for the medical + dental beachhead — back end stubbed — to test "is this worth funding at scale?"

→ 02

Do the due diligence

Competitive/incumbent DD (Henry Schein, McKesson, Cerbo, Mercury), sponsor-bank rev-share economics, and a VC-landscape scan.

→ 03

Validate with the market

Start with 10–12 high-quality interviews with independent medical and dental practices; recruit design partners from Mike's client and fractional-CFO network.

→ 04

Graduate or retire

Decide, on evidence, whether to fund the MVP build — or honestly retire the thesis.

A note on this document

This is an early, polished snapshot of the discovery work. As NewCo BaaS is built, all of this — vision, personas, features, questions, and the evolving plan — will live in the Conntinuum platform, where you'll review, comment, and collaborate in real time alongside us.

Round 2 · Decisions & Changes

Decisions

What changed since your review — decisions traced to your comments, before → after.

Decisions memorialized from this round's review with Mike, each traced to the comment that drove it (full ADRs in the decision log; comment-by-comment provenance in the conversation ledger). Every review-app comment from the prior round remains attached to its block.

ADR-008  Beachhead = medical (functional-medicine) + dental; restaurants to Phase 2

Accepted

From your comment — Mike: “Focus on Medical/Dental first… then copy/paste the UI and tweak the accounting for restaurants.” · “Noted. Medical/Dental.”

Before

Medical + dental + restaurants as the beachhead; BaaS-led, multi-vertical.

After

Independent medical (functional-medicine-led) + dental only. Restaurants kept but parked to a Phase-2 fast-follow. Positioning reframed to a single-sign-on unified financial OS, software-first.

ADR-009  Functional medicine is the medical entry point (Cerbo + Gusto)

Accepted

From your comment — Mike: “We built out an MVP dashboard for a functional med practice. Cerbo and Gusto were primary data sources.”

Before

Generic medical practice (family medicine; athenahealth + ADP). Medical dashboard was Should-Have / V1.0.

After

Independent functional-medicine practices. Cerbo (FEAT-058) + Gusto (FEAT-029) become MVP integrations; medical dashboard (FEAT-017) elevated to MVP.

ADR-010  Next step is a Proof of Value — dashboard-first, back-end stubbed

Accepted

From your comment — Mike's direction + Chris–C Infinity POV definition (“is this worth funding at scale?”, graduate or honestly retire).

Before

Implied jump toward an MVP build across three verticals.

After

A ~1.5-month POV testing the strategy before broader investment; back end stubbed; competitive DD, VC scan, and market validation. See the POV tab.

ADR-011  High-yield savings as a Must-Have MVP banking feature

Accepted

From your comment — Mike + Chris: “HY savings accounts are also typically available on Mercury and Baselane… Add in HY Savings as a banking requirement.”

Before

Operating account, cards, ACH, bill pay.

After

Adds High-Yield Business Savings (FEAT-057), Must-Have / MVP — parity with Mercury and Baselane.

Deliverable · Vision Board

Vision Board

The strategic foundation — vision, market, needs, product, goals, risks.

Vision

To become the financial operating system for main street service businesses — starting with independent medical (functional-medicine-led) and dental practices — where FDIC-insured banking and intelligent, AI-driven bookkeeping are one seamless platform, accessed through a single sign-on, that turns every transaction into a real-time, decision-ready financial insight.

Mission

Give owner-operators of independent medical and dental practices a single platform — one login for banking, clean AI bookkeeping, and the vertical KPI dashboards they run on — so their financial data stays clean from the moment money moves and they can confidently make hiring, compensation, vendor, and capital decisions. (Restaurants are a Phase-2 fast-follow, not the beachhead.)

Target group

Primary. US-based owner-operators of independent medical practices (functional-medicine-led: independent, non-hospital-based) and dental practices (solo and small group), who today run a disconnected stack — a business bank account plus general-purpose accounting (e.g., QBO) plus a bookkeeper — and lack timely, trustworthy financial metrics. Mike has an existing functional-medicine dashboard MVP (data via Cerbo + Gusto) and relationships in this segment.

  • Fractional CFOs, bookkeepers, and accountants who serve medical/dental clients and need clean source data and dashboards (the channel through which Mike, a CFP/EA fractional CFO, discovered the problem)
  • Clients of Mike's own firms (Enduro Tax Advisory and Enduro Wealth Management) who already trust the NewCo BaaS brand and are natural early design partners
  • Practice managers and administrators responsible for day-to-day financial operations
  • Independent/small-chain restaurant operators — a Phase-2 expansion vertical, not part of the beachhead (thin margins, high turnover); a potential 'ride Toast's coattails' path via Mike's Toast-founder connection
  • Lenders and capital partners who benefit from clean, real-time financials when underwriting these businesses

Market reach

MARKETSIZE{'tam': 'All US main-street service businesses that need integrated banking + bookkeeping + financial insight (millions of SMBs); illustrative multi-billion-dollar annual opportunity across interchange, deposits/float, software subscriptions, and lending.', 'sam': 'US independent medical practices (~200k+) and dental practices (~150k+) — the two beachhead verticals. Independent/small-chain restaurants (~600k–750k establishments) are a Phase-2 expansion market, not part of the initial beachhead.', 'som': "An initial beachhead of design partners and early adopters in independent medical (functional-medicine-led) and dental practices in Mike's network / Mountain West, scaling to low thousands of active accounts within 12–24 months.", '_assumption': 'All market-size figures are first-pass estimates from public knowledge and must be validated with primary research before planning commitments.'}

First-pass estimates; validate with primary research.

Needs

Functional
  • A business deposit account that is FDIC-insured and purpose-built for the vertical's money movement (cards, ACH, bill pay, deposits)
  • Bookkeeping that produces clean, double-entry-correct books automatically — without the data degradation that occurs when raw bank feeds are pushed into general-purpose accounting software
  • Real-time KPI dashboards tailored to the vertical (e.g., labor cost %, food/COGS %, prime cost for restaurants; production per provider/chair, collections, overhead ratio, AR for practices)
  • Native, end-to-end data flow so transactions are categorized correctly at the source and stay clean through to financial statements and tax
  • Integrations with the systems these businesses already run (POS for restaurants; practice-management systems for dental/medical; payroll providers)
  • Cash-flow visibility, runway, and alerts to support timely operating decisions
  • Accountant / fractional-CFO access and tax-ready exports
Emotional
  • Confidence and a sense of control over the financial health of the business
  • Peace of mind that the books are accurate and the business is compliant
  • Reduced anxiety around month-end close and tax time
  • Feeling like a capable, in-command operator rather than someone lost in spreadsheets and stale reports
Social
  • Credibility with lenders, partners, and investors through clean, real-time financials
  • The ability to benchmark performance against peers in their vertical
  • Being recognized as a well-run, financially disciplined practice or restaurant

Product

Core capabilities
  • White-labeled, FDIC-insured business banking accounts delivered through a sponsor-bank / BaaS partner
  • Embedded AI bookkeeping that performs automated categorization, reconciliation, and correct double-entry accounting natively on the platform
  • A native data pipeline that keeps bank-feed data clean from transaction to financial statement, eliminating the QBO 'mangled data' problem
  • Vertical-specific, real-time KPI dashboards (restaurant prime cost / labor / food cost; practice production, collections, overhead, AR)
  • Payments and card issuing (debit/charge cards, ACH, bill pay)
  • Vertical integrations: POS systems (restaurants), practice-management systems (dental/medical), and payroll
  • Cash-flow, runway, and decision-support insights with alerting
  • Accountant collaboration, tax-ready books, and exportable financials
  • A path to working-capital / capital-equipment lending built on clean, real-time financial data
Key differentiators
  • A single, unified financial operating system with one sign-on (SSO) for the owner/CEO/CFO — banking, bookkeeping, and vertical KPIs in one place. Per Mike: incumbents offer dashboards, but none combine banking + SSO'd financial management for an SMB owner.
  • Software-first wedge: bookkeeping + CFO-dashboard clarity is the lead value and marketing message; FDIC-insured banking and its revenue share sit behind it as the monetization engine.
  • Vertical specialization for medical (functional-medicine-led) and dental practices — versus Mercury (startups) and Baselane (real estate) — with the metrics and workflows these operators actually run on
  • Banking and bookkeeping unified natively so financial data never degrades, unlike bolt-on accounting where bank feeds are mangled by general-purpose tools (QBO)
  • Clean-at-the-source data architecture that makes timely, trustworthy metrics the default rather than the result of manual cleanup
  • Founder-market fit: built by a CFP/EA, MSTCA, MBA-Finance fractional CFO who lives the clean-data problem daily and already runs a functional-medicine dashboard MVP (Cerbo + Gusto) — domain credibility and traction competitors cannot easily replicate
  • A veteran-owned, faith-based, main-street NewCo BaaS brand — resonant with owner-operators and distinct from venture-styled fintech incumbents
Product principles
  • Data must be clean at the source — correctness is designed in, not reconciled after the fact
  • Deliver insights that drive decisions, not just reports that get filed
  • Vertical depth over horizontal breadth
  • Bank-grade security, compliance, and trust are non-negotiable
  • Owner-first simplicity — the platform works for operators, not just accountants

Business goals

Short term
  • Run a Proof of Value (POV) with design-partner medical (functional-medicine) and dental practices to prove the dashboard-first value — 'is this worth funding at scale?' (graduate or honestly retire)
  • Complete competitive/market due diligence (Henry Schein, McKesson, Cerbo, Mercury) and a VC-landscape scan before committing MVP scope
  • Do the diligence to secure a sponsor-bank / BaaS partner and understand revenue-share economics
  • Confirm the accounting-engine approach (Digits lead, native build fallback) — kept as a strategic question with Mike
Medium term
  • Reach product-market fit and expand from the lead vertical to cover both medical/dental and restaurants
  • Grow active accounts, deposits, and recurring software revenue to a sustainable base
  • Add deeper integrations (top POS / practice-management / payroll systems) and introduce working-capital lending
  • Build the accountant / fractional-CFO referral channel into a repeatable acquisition engine
Long term
  • Establish category leadership as the 'financial operating system' for these verticals
  • Expand into adjacent main-street verticals using the same clean-data + vertical-KPI playbook
  • Diversify monetization across interchange, deposits, subscriptions, lending, and benchmarking/data products
  • Build durable data advantages (peer benchmarking, underwriting) that compound with scale

Value Streams (Revenue)

How the platform monetizes the unified banking + bookkeeping + insight model.

  • Interchange revenue on debit/card spend
  • Net interest / float on customer deposits (via sponsor-bank economics)
  • SaaS subscription for AI bookkeeping and KPI dashboards
  • Working-capital and capital-equipment lending / financing
  • Premium analytics and peer benchmarking
  • Payment processing and ancillary financial services fees

Adoption Path (Go-To-Market)

Sequenced path from design partners to a repeatable acquisition engine, anchored on Mike's existing firms and accountant network.

  • Warm-start design partners from Mike's existing Enduro Tax Advisory / Enduro Wealth client base and fractional-CFO engagements
  • Accountant / fractional-CFO referral channel (the role through which the idea originated), including the Mark J. Kohler Main Street Certified Tax Advisor / Tax Pro Network Mike belongs to
  • Vertical associations and communities (dental societies, state restaurant associations, owner groups)
  • Founder-led and content-driven acquisition leveraging Mike's credibility and veteran/faith-based brand
  • Partnerships and co-marketing with POS and practice-management vendors

Alternatives (Competitive Landscape)

What target customers use today and the gaps the product addresses.

  • Status quo: a separate business bank account + general-purpose accounting (QBO) + a bookkeeper + spreadsheets, where bank-feed data is mangled and metrics are stale (QBO ~80% share; also Xero, FreshBooks, Wave)
  • Henry Schein / McKesson — established dental & medical practice-management and inventory software incumbents; a primary competitive-DD target before building (flagged by Mike)
  • Cerbo and other EHR/practice-management platforms — offer practice operations/some dashboards but not banking + SSO'd financial management; also a candidate data-source integration
  • Mercury — software-led BaaS for startups/tech; lists a 'Healthcare Services' vertical — a competitive signal to monitor, though not purpose-built for practice operating metrics
  • Baselane — integrated banking + AI bookkeeping purpose-built for real estate investors; closest analog to the model, different vertical
  • Ramp / Brex — corporate cards and spend management, not unified vertical banking + bookkeeping
  • Digits — AI bookkeeping / agentic GL without a native banking layer (the lead candidate to underpin the accounting engine)
  • Generic SMB neobanks (Relay, Bluevine) paired with external accounting

Partnership Ecosystem

Key partnerships the model depends on, plus Mike's owned assets that de-risk and accelerate it.

  • Sponsor bank / BaaS provider — the FDIC-insured banking rails and ledger; core dependency and primary build-vs-partner decision (revenue-share economics require DD)
  • Embedded bookkeeping / data partner — Digits-style agentic GL (lead) or a built-in equivalent that keeps data clean at the source
  • Practice-management & payroll integrations — Cerbo (functional-medicine EHR/PMS) and Gusto (payroll) are the priority medical-beachhead data sources; dental PMS (Dentrix et al.) pending DD
  • Mike-owned assets — Enduro Tax Advisory and Enduro Wealth Management provide domain expertise, an initial customer base, an accounting-service backbone, and brand equity; a functional-medicine dashboard MVP already exists
  • Restaurant path (Phase 2) — Mike's connection to a Toast founder is a potential channel/insight asset if/when restaurants are pursued
  • Capital partners — for working-capital and equipment lending built on clean financials

Constraints

Technical
  • Dependence on sponsor-bank / BaaS provider APIs, ledger, and uptime for core money movement
  • Reliable, maintainable integrations with fragmented POS, practice-management, and payroll systems
  • Accuracy and explainability of AI-driven categorization and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Real-time data synchronization and reconciliation across banking, bookkeeping, and dashboards
Business
  • Requires a banking partner (BaaS/sponsor bank) and a bookkeeping/data capability before launch
  • Capital and operating investment for compliance, risk, and partner onboarding
  • Trust-building required to move regulated money for healthcare and food-service operators
  • Focusing on two verticals simultaneously may stretch early-stage resources; sequencing may be required
Regulatory
  • BSA/AML program, KYC/KYB onboarding, and ongoing transaction monitoring
  • FDIC insurance requirements and money-movement / money-transmission considerations handled via the sponsor-bank relationship
  • Bank partner oversight, audit, and compliance obligations
  • Data privacy and security (SOC 2); avoid handling PHI — limit scope to financial data even for medical/dental customers

Open assumptions to validate

  • Competitive/incumbent DD (Henry Schein, McKesson, Cerbo, Mercury) before committing MVP scope
  • Dental practice-management tech-stack DD (Mike has limited dental-stack visibility)
  • Sponsor-bank / BaaS partner selection and acceptable revenue-share economics
  • Accounting engine: integrate Digits (lead) vs. build (ASM-003 / ADR-007)
  • Market-size (TAM/SAM/SOM) estimates require primary validation (sample 24+ independent medical/dental practices; ADA meetings)
  • Specific numeric success-metric targets and POV graduate/retire thresholds
  • Whether Enduro Tax/Wealth clients can be compliantly leveraged as a design-partner pool and channel given RIA/tax regulatory separation

Archetypes

Practice Owner Operator

ARCH-001

Owner-operators of independent medical (functional-medicine-led) or dental practices who both lead clinical care and bear full P&L responsibility. They discovered the product through accountant referrals or peer networks and need real-time production, collections, overhead, and AR metrics — not generic SMB reports. They are slow to switch bank accounts but will adopt dashboards that prove value quickly.

Primary goalRun the practice on timely, trustworthy financial metrics without relying on stale bookkeeper reports

Motivations
  • Clinical excellence paired with financial discipline
  • Independence from DSO consolidation pressure
  • Legacy and long-term practice value
Frustrations
  • Bank feeds mangled in QBO before they become usable
  • KPIs weeks stale by the time they review them
  • Distrust of fully automated bookkeeping without accountant backing

Restaurant Owner OperatorRetired · Phase 2

ARCH-002

Independent or small-chain restaurant owners who live in the dining room and the P&L simultaneously. Margin-thin and time-starved, they need prime cost, labor %, and food cost visible while they can still adjust schedules and vendors — not three weeks later in a bookkeeper's report.

Primary goalSee prime cost and margin signals in near real time to protect thin restaurant margins

Motivations
  • Survival and profitability in a high-churn industry
  • Pride in running a well-operated restaurant
  • Freedom from spreadsheet chaos
Frustrations
  • POS data and bank data live in separate worlds
  • Bookkeeper categorization errors hide food cost creep
  • Every software dollar must show obvious ROI

Operations Manager

ARCH-003

Practice managers and restaurant general managers responsible for day-to-day financial operations — payroll coordination, vendor payments, reconciliations, and reporting to the owner. They are the primary daily users of bookkeeping workflows and dashboards, even when the owner is the economic buyer.

Primary goalKeep books current and produce accurate reports the owner trusts without heroic month-end effort

Motivations
  • Professional competence and owner confidence
  • Smooth month-end close without fire drills
  • Career growth through operational excellence
Frustrations
  • Chasing down miscategorized transactions from bank feeds
  • Rebuilding the same reports every month in spreadsheets
  • Caught between owner demands for real-time data and bookkeeper delays

Fractional CFO Accountant

ARCH-004

Fractional CFOs, bookkeepers, and accountants who serve medical/dental and restaurant clients. They are both users (reviewing client books) and a critical acquisition channel — recommending platforms that reduce their cleanup burden while making them indispensable to clients.

Primary goalReceive clean, categorized source data and vertical KPIs so advisory time goes to insight, not cleanup

Motivations
  • Client outcomes and firm reputation
  • Efficiency at scale across a client portfolio
  • Staying ahead of AI bookkeeping disruption
Frustrations
  • Every client bank feed arrives as a cleanup project
  • Building custom KPI spreadsheets per vertical per client
  • Platforms that promise automation but deliver exceptions

Multi UNIT OperatorRetired · Phase 2

ARCH-005

Owners and franchisees operating multiple restaurant or practice locations who need consolidated financial visibility across entities. They think in portfolio terms — comparing location performance, standardizing processes, and scaling what works.

Primary goalConsolidated, comparable financial and KPI visibility across all locations

Motivations
  • Portfolio-level returns and operational leverage
  • Franchise or multi-site growth
  • Benchmarking locations against each other
Frustrations
  • Per-location QBO files with no roll-up view
  • Inconsistent categorization makes cross-location comparison meaningless
  • Banking fragmented with no unified cash-position dashboard
Personas

4 personas

Dr. Sarah Mitchell

PERS-001 · ARCH-001

Owner / Lead Dentist · Dental Practice · Dental · 8 employees, 2 providers · age 44

Sarah sees patients 8am–5pm four days a week and handles admin Friday mornings. She glances at production numbers in Dentrix but relies on her bookkeeper for real financial health. Sunday evenings she reviews whatever reports her office manager prepared — often frustrated they're already a week old.

Goals
  • Know production per provider and collections ratio without waiting for month-end
  • Confidently decide whether to hire a third hygienist
  • Stop paying $1,800/month for bookkeeping cleanup she doesn't trust
Frustrations
  • QBO miscategorizes lab fees and supply orders every month
  • Can't answer 'what's my overhead %?' without calling her accountant
  • Skeptical of fintech but trusts referrals from her MSTCA network

Dr. James Chen

PERS-002 · ARCH-001

Owner / Functional-Medicine Physician · Functional Medicine Practice · Functional Medicine · 9 employees, 2 clinicians · age 52

James runs an independent, largely cash-pay/membership functional-medicine practice. He sees fewer patients than a volume clinic but spends an hour per visit, and delegates financial operations to his administrator. He reviews a monthly P&L but cannot drill into membership revenue, collections, or AR without a custom report that takes days.

Goals
  • Real-time membership/cash-pay revenue, collections, and AR visibility
  • PHI-safe financial data handling with SOC 2 assurance
  • One login for banking + books + KPIs instead of juggling Cerbo, QBO, Gusto, and a bank portal
Frustrations
  • Cerbo, QBO, Gusto, and the bank don't talk to each other
  • AR and membership-revenue reports lag by weeks
  • Anxious about any platform that might touch patient data

Marco DelgadoRetired · Phase 2

PERS-003 · ARCH-002

Owner / Executive Chef · Independent Full-Service Restaurant · Restaurant · 22 employees · age 38

Marco opens at 10am, runs lunch and dinner service, and closes books around midnight. He checks Toast sales reports daily but has no idea if he's making money until his bookkeeper sends a P&L two weeks later. Food cost creep has burned him twice in the past year.

Goals
  • See prime cost and food cost % updated daily, not monthly
  • Catch vendor price increases before they destroy margin
  • Stop paying $900/month for bookkeeping that arrives too late to act on
Frustrations
  • Toast and bank data don't talk to each other
  • Bookkeeper categorizes Sysco invoices inconsistently
  • Can't justify another software subscription without obvious ROI

Lisa Hartley

PERS-004 · ARCH-003

Office Manager · Dental Practice · Dental · 8 employees · age 36

Lisa manages scheduling, insurance billing, payroll coordination, and vendor payments for Dr. Mitchell's practice. She spends the first three days of each month reclassifying QBO transactions and building the owner report in Excel. She is the person who will use NewCo BaaS daily.

Goals
  • Automate transaction categorization so month-end takes hours, not days
  • Give Dr. Mitchell a dashboard she can check herself
  • Keep the accountant happy with clean exports
Frustrations
  • Same miscategorization errors every month from bank feeds
  • Owner asks for numbers she can't produce without bookkeeper help
  • Juggling Dentrix production data and QBO financials manually

Carlos MendezRetired · Phase 2

PERS-005 · ARCH-003

General Manager · Independent Restaurant · Restaurant · 22 employees · age 41

Carlos runs day-to-day operations for Marco's restaurant — scheduling, inventory, vendor orders, and daily cash reconciliation. He closes the register, reviews Toast end-of-day, and emails Marco a summary. Financial detail lives in QBO, which he accesses reluctantly.

Goals
  • Give Marco daily prime cost visibility without building spreadsheets
  • Reduce time spent on vendor payment runs
  • Catch inventory and labor overruns before Marco asks
Frustrations
  • No connection between Toast sales and bank outflows
  • Marco asks for numbers Carlos can't produce in real time
  • Vendor payments spread across bank portal and manual checks

Amanda Reeves

PERS-006 · ARCH-004

Fractional CFO / EA · Advisory Firm · Accounting / Tax Advisory · 4 employees · age 47

Amanda serves 18 dental and restaurant clients as fractional CFO. She spends 40% of her time reclassifying bank feeds and building KPI spreadsheets. She discovered the clean-data problem through her own practice and now evaluates platforms she can recommend to clients and use herself.

Goals
  • Reduce human-touch minutes per client by 50% within 12 months
  • Recommend a platform that makes her advisory indispensable
  • Grow client base without proportional staff increase
Frustrations
  • Every new client onboarding starts with months of bank feed cleanup
  • AI bookkeeping tools promise 95% automation but deliver 70%
  • No platform combines banking, books, and vertical KPIs for her client mix

David KimRetired · Phase 2

PERS-007 · ARCH-005

Franchisee / Multi-Unit Owner · Quick-Service Restaurant Franchise · Restaurant · 5 locations, 120 employees · age 49

David owns five franchise locations across Utah. Each has its own QBO file and bank account. Every Monday he spends two hours in Excel consolidating prime cost across locations. He knows his worst location drags the portfolio but can't isolate why without manual analysis.

Goals
  • Single consolidated dashboard comparing all five locations
  • Standardized categorization so location comparison is meaningful
  • Identify underperforming locations within 48 hours, not month-end
Frustrations
  • Five QBO files, five bank logins, one spreadsheet nightmare
  • GMs categorize expenses differently at each location
  • Franchise corporate requires specific reporting formats

Run a Dental Practice on Trustworthy Real-Time Metrics

JOURNEY-001 · PERS-001

Dr. Sarah Mitchell moves from stale bookkeeper reports and mangled QBO bank feeds to daily production, collections, and overhead visibility — eventually consolidating banking and bookkeeping on NewCo BaaS.

When I am between patients or reviewing the practice on Sunday evening, I want to see production per provider and collections ratio updated daily, so that I can run the practice on numbers I trust.

Outcome

Sarah confidently answers overhead and production questions without calling her bookkeeper, and makes hiring decisions based on current data.

Emotional & social

Feel in control and financially competent as a practice owner, not dependent on delayed reports. Be seen by her accountant peer network and staff as a well-run, data-driven operator.

Protect Restaurant Margins Before They ErodeRetired · Phase 2

JOURNEY-002 · PERS-003

Marco Delgado connects Toast POS and his business bank to NewCo BaaS so prime cost, labor %, and food cost are visible while he can still adjust menus, schedules, and vendors.

When I am between lunch and dinner service, I want to see today's prime cost trend, so that I can protect thin margins before payroll and food spend compound.

Outcome

Marco detects margin pressure within 48 hours and adjusts operations before month-end P&L confirms the damage.

Emotional & social

Reduce anxiety about unknown profitability and feel capable of running the restaurant on data, not gut. Demonstrate to lenders and peers that the restaurant is financially disciplined.

Maintain Clean Books as Daily Operations Manager

JOURNEY-003 · PERS-004

Lisa Hartley (dental office manager) or a functional-medicine practice administrator uses NewCo BaaS daily to keep transactions categorized, exceptions cleared, and owner-ready reports prepared without heroic month-end effort. (Restaurant GM usage is a Phase-2 addition.)

When transactions arrive from the bank and integrations each day, I want exceptions surfaced for quick review, so that the owner always has current books without a three-day cleanup sprint.

Outcome

Month-end close completes in under one business day with books the owner and accountant both trust.

Emotional & social

Professional pride in operational competence; reduced month-end stress. Earn owner confidence as the person who keeps financial operations running smoothly.

Supporting flows: FLOW-004, FLOW-005, FLOW-006, FLOW-007

Serve Clients Efficiently as Fractional CFO

JOURNEY-004 · PERS-006

Amanda Reeves onboards medical (functional-medicine) and dental clients onto NewCo BaaS, reviews exception queues across her portfolio, and delivers advisory insight instead of bank-feed cleanup.

When I start my Monday review session, I want clean categorized data and vertical KPIs for each client, so that I advise on strategy instead of reclassifying transactions.

Outcome

Human-touch minutes per client decline quarter over quarter while client NPS and retention improve.

Emotional & social

Confidence that the platform makes her advisory practice scalable and defensible against pure-AI bookkeeping. Strengthen reputation as the advisor who brings clients a modern financial operating system.

Supporting flows: FLOW-001, FLOW-004, FLOW-007

Gain PHI-Safe Financial Control of a Functional-Medicine Practice

JOURNEY-005 · PERS-002

Dr. James Chen (independent functional-medicine owner) adopts NewCo BaaS after compliance review confirms financial-data-only scope; Cerbo + Gusto feed the dashboard, his administrator runs daily operations, and James reviews weekly KPI rollups through a single login.

When I review practice health each week, I want AR aging and collections updated without touching clinical data, so that I can demonstrate financial discipline to partners and lenders.

Outcome

James sees collections, AR aging, and membership/cash-pay revenue weekly with SOC 2 assurance and zero PHI exposure — through one platform instead of Cerbo + QBO + Gusto + a bank portal.

Emotional & social

Peace of mind on compliance; reduced anxiety about data boundaries. Credibility with hospital systems, lenders, and physician partners through clean real-time financials.

Supporting flows: FLOW-001, FLOW-003, FLOW-005, FLOW-007

Consolidate Multi-Location Restaurant PerformanceRetired · Phase 2

JOURNEY-006 · PERS-007

David Kim pilots NewCo BaaS at one franchise location, validates roll-up KPI comparison, and scales to five locations with standardized categorization and consolidated cash visibility.

When I review my portfolio each Monday, I want per-location and roll-up prime cost on one dashboard, so that I manage five restaurants as a portfolio instead of five separate spreadsheets.

Outcome

David compares prime cost and labor metrics across all locations weekly and intervenes at underperforming sites within 48 hours.

Emotional & social

Feel in command of a growing multi-unit operation without losing visibility. Demonstrate to franchisor and lenders that each location is financially managed to standard.

  • 100% of account transactions ingested within 5 minutes
  • Duplicate detection prevents double-counting
FEAT-010AI Transaction Categorization (clean-at-source)MVP

Transactions are categorized at ingestion against a vertical chart of accounts with confidence scoring. Lead approach: lightweight integration of Digits' agentic general ledger / AI bookkeeping for categorization; build-your-own ML engine retained as a fallback option.

UserEliminates manual categorization for routine transactions; owners never wrangle a chart of accountsBusinessCore clean-at-source differentiator; partnering (Digits-lead) avoids building the lowest-differentiation layer and reduces time-to-market

Acceptance criteria (4)
  • >95% effective auto-categorization at MVP maturity (provider-assisted), with exceptions routed for review

FEAT-011Ledger & Financial Statements EngineMVP

General ledger and financial-statement generation (P&L, balance sheet, trial balance). Double-entry is an internal correctness invariant — never surfaced to owner-operators. Lead approach: integrate Digits' agentic general ledger as the ledger engine; build-your-own double-entry GL retained as a fallback option.

UserTax-ready, audit-ready books an accountant can stand behind — without owners ever seeing debits, credits, or journal entriesBusinessEnables accountant trust and tax export; partnering (Digits-lead) skips the hardest, lowest-differentiation build
Effort 3/5Impact 5/5ARCH-001 ARCH-002 ARCH-004

  • Double-entry mechanics (debits/credits, journal entries, COA management) are never exposed to owner-operator users
  • P&L, balance sheet, and trial balance are generatable for any period
  • Ledger engine is abstracted so Digits can be swapped for a native engine without changing tax-export or KPI logic
FEAT-012Automated ReconciliationMVP

Match bank and integration transactions to ledger entries and flag discrepancies for review. Lead approach: reconciliation provided by Digits' reconciliation agent; native reconciliation retained as a fallback if the engine is built in-house.

UserMonth-end reconciliation in hours not daysBusinessReduces accountant workload; improves data trust; provided by Digits under the lead approach
Effort 2/5Impact 4/5ARCH-003 ARCH-004
Acceptance criteria (2)
  • Auto-reconciliation rate >90% for standard transactions
  • Unmatched items surfaced in exception queue
FEAT-013Human-in-the-Loop Exception QueueMVP

Review interface where low-confidence categorizations are surfaced for accountant/manager approval, reject, or reclassify. Under the Digits-lead approach, NewCo BaaS's bookkeeping team reviews exceptions via Digits' accountant/firm console; a native exception queue is built only under the build-your-own fallback.

UserAccountants review exceptions not entire transaction setsBusinessHybrid accountant-backed model is the trust moat (Enduro Tax Advisory staff as human-in-the-loop); ensures trust while scaling automation

Lightweight integration with Digits as the underlying accounting engine (agentic general ledger, AI categorization, reconciliation, financial statements), fed by NewCo BaaS's banking transactions and vertical integrations. This is the lead option for the accounting layer; building a native engine (FEAT-010/011/012) is the retained fallback.

UserClean, accountant-grade books with no owner-facing accounting mechanics, delivered faster by partnering rather than buildingBusinessCapital-light path to clean-at-source books; focuses NewCo BaaS engineering on its moat (vertical KPIs, banking, accountant-backed review) instead of rebuilding a general ledger

Deliverable · Proof of Value

Proof of Value

The near-term engagement — is this worth funding at scale? Dashboard-first, back end stubbed.

Central question

Is a unified, single-sign-on financial operating system — banking + clean AI bookkeeping + vertical KPI dashboards — for independent medical (functional-medicine-led) and dental practices worth funding at scale?

A short engagement in which a strategy or technical proposition is tested against real conditions before broader investment. POVs answer the question 'is this worth funding at scale?' and are scoped to graduate or to be honestly retired (C Infinity firm definition). Distinct from a Proof of Concept, which asks the narrower 'can this work?'

Framing

This is a strategy POV, not a technical POC. It leads with the software/dashboard wedge (bookkeeping + CFO-dashboard clarity) and deliberately stubs the back end. The goal is to validate desirability and willingness-to-fund before investing in banking rails, the accounting engine, and live integrations.

Hypotheses under test

#HypothesisType
H1Owner-operators will engage weekly with a dashboard-first unified financial view that they trust more than their current stale reports.Desirability
H2The unified-OS + single-sign-on framing (one login for banking, books, and KPIs) is a differentiated wedge that owners and accountants find compelling versus incumbents that offer dashboards only.Differentiation
H3Independent functional-medicine practices (Cerbo + Gusto) are a reachable, fundable beachhead — reinforced by Mike's existing functional-medicine dashboard MVP and relationships.Market / beachhead
H4Owners (and/or their accountants) will pay for the software wedge, with FDIC-insured banking and its revenue share as the engine behind it.Viability
H5No incumbent (Henry Schein, McKesson, Cerbo, Mercury) already owns 'banking + SSO'd financial management' for these practice owners.Competitive

In scope

  • A clickable, front-end / dashboard-first prototype of the unified-OS experience (single sign-on shell; functional-medicine and dental KPI dashboards)
  • Dashboards populated with stubbed / mock or Mike's existing functional-medicine data — not live integrations
  • Design-partner interviews and prototype walkthroughs with independent medical (functional-medicine) and dental owner-operators and their accountants
  • Competitive and market due diligence (Henry Schein, McKesson, Cerbo, Mercury, Baselane) — does anyone already own banking + SSO'd financial management here?
  • VC / funding-landscape scan for the medical + dental fintech thesis (incl. Boston / Bay Area investors)
  • Primary market validation: 10–12 high-quality interviews with independent medical (functional-medicine) and dental practices to start; leverage ADA and functional-medicine networks

Investment

The Proof of Value is the first shared investment of NewCo — the new company Mike Bisbee and Chris (Chris–C Infinity) intend to form together. The cost is characterized as an investment the new company (and therefore its two owners) makes in itself, not a fee paid to a vendor.

Total investment~$30,000 · Labor + technology development
Owned byNewCo (the new entity)
Duration~1.5 months (~6 weeks)
Owner contributions
PartyShareForm
Chris–C Infinity~50% · ~$15,000His and his team's product and development time
Mike Bisbee~50% · ~$15,000Owner contribution toward labor and technology development

Reduced from an earlier ~$40k estimate to ~$30k; the ~6-week timeline is held. Split evenly between the two owners of the new company.

Chris–C Infinity leads

  • Overall POV delivery, project management, and weekly checkpoints
  • Competitive / incumbent DD memo and VC / funding-landscape scan
  • Design and build the clickable dashboard-first prototype (SSO shell + functional-medicine and dental dashboards on stubbed data)
  • Facilitate and synthesize the design-partner interviews
  • Graduate-or-retire recommendation with MVP scope and capital plan

Mike Bisbee provides

  • Domain expertise (CPA / fractional-CFO perspective) and KPI definitions for the functional-medicine and dental dashboards
  • Provide the existing functional-medicine dashboard MVP and sample / mock data (financial only — no PHI) early in the engagement
  • Warm introductions to functional-medicine and dental owner-operators and their accountants
  • Access to relevant networks (ADA, functional-medicine associations, MSTCA / Tax Pro Network)
  • Timely feedback and shared decision-making — async via this review site plus a weekly checkpoint
Graduate if
  • A clear majority of interviewed owners rate the unified-OS + SSO experience as materially better than their status quo and express intent to adopt/pay
  • Evidence that the software wedge alone (before banking) is worth paying for, with a credible path to banking revenue share
  • Functional-medicine + dental confirmed as a reachable beachhead with an identifiable design-partner cohort
  • Competitive DD shows no incumbent already owns the banking + SSO'd financial-management position
  • A fundable next-phase thesis (MVP scope + capital plan) that investors or the owners (Mike and Chris) would back
Retire or pivot if
  • Owners are indifferent to the unified-OS framing or unwilling to pay for the software wedge
  • An incumbent already credibly owns banking + SSO'd financial management for these practices
  • The beachhead proves unreachable or uneconomic within a fundable plan
  • Regulatory, banking-partner, or accounting-engine constraints make the model uninvestable at this stage

Guardrails

  • Avoid 'Pilot Purgatory' (a proof that succeeds technically but never graduates to a funded program): every workstream ties to a graduate/retire decision, not to building software for its own sake.
  • Time-boxed to ~1.5 months; scope stays front-end and evidentiary, not production engineering.

POV deliverables

  • Clickable dashboard-first unified-OS prototype (functional-medicine + dental)
  • Competitive / incumbent DD memo (Henry Schein, McKesson, Cerbo, Mercury, Baselane)
  • VC / funding-landscape scan
  • Market-validation findings from 10–12 high-quality practice interviews
  • Graduate-or-retire recommendation with an MVP scope and capital plan

Market-validation plan

  • Interview 10–12 high-quality independent medical (functional-medicine) and dental practice owners and their accountants to start (expand only if the signal warrants it)
  • Engage professional networks (ADA, functional-medicine associations, Mike's MSTCA / Tax Pro Network)
  • Test pricing and willingness-to-pay for the software wedge
  • Validate beachhead reachability and design-partner conversion

Spotlight · OQ-003 — Accounting engine: integrate Digits vs. build

Working assumption (current lead): lightweight integration of Digits as the accounting engine (agentic general ledger, AI categorization, reconciliation, statements). Building a native ledger is the retained fallback. Recorded as ASM-003 and ADR-007; reflected as FEAT-056 with FEAT-010/011/012 reframed.

Three risk factors to resolve with Mike before committing:

  1. Strategic / competitive dependency. Digits is competitor-adjacent; relying on it for the core ledger creates roadmap, pricing, and data-portability exposure. Need confirmed exit terms and an abstraction layer so the engine can be swapped for a native build.
  2. Clean-at-source consistency. Digits' bank-feed model must reconcile with NewCo BaaS's "clean-at-source via our own rails" claim — confirm transactions sync with enough metadata to preserve the differentiator.
  3. Human-in-the-loop & product identity. Decide where NewCo BaaS's review staff operate (Digits' firm console vs. a native NewCo BaaS exception queue), since it reshapes the product surface and the defensibility of the review moat.

The working assumptions this plan rests on, with criticality and status. Each is tracked until validated or accepted as risk.

ASM-001 highopenmarket
TAM/SAM/SOM market-size figures in the Vision Board are directionally correct and sufficient for strategic planning until primary research validates them.
vision-board.json, stakeholder-profiles.json
ASM-002 highacceptedorganizational
Beachhead resolved (round-2 review with Mike, ADR-008): independent medical (functional-medicine-led) + dental practices. Restaurants are a Phase-2 expansion, not the beachhead.
vision-board.json, feature-list.json
ASM-003 highopentechnical
Lead approach for the accounting engine is a lightweight integration of Digits (agentic general ledger / AI bookkeeping); building a native double-entry GL is the retained fallback. Final build-vs-partner decision will be made with Mike before architecture specification. Double-entry is treated as an internal correctness invariant, never a user-facing concept.

ASM-013 highopentechnical
If Digits is adopted as the accounting engine (lead option per ASM-003), acceptable terms can be secured on data portability/exit, pricing, and roadmap independence, and its bank-feed model can be reconciled with NewCo BaaS's clean-at-source-via-own-rails differentiator without weakening it.
feature-list.json, decision-log.md, open-questions.md
ASM-014 highopenmarket
Independent functional-medicine practices are a reachable, fundable beachhead — supported by Mike's existing functional-medicine dashboard MVP (Cerbo + Gusto) and relationships.

ASM-015 highopenmarket
The unified-OS + single-sign-on framing is a genuine differentiator: no incumbent (Henry Schein, McKesson, Cerbo, Mercury) already offers banking + SSO'd financial management for a practice owner/CEO/CFO. To be validated by competitive DD in the POV.
vision-board.json, product-overview.json, proof-of-value.json
ASM-016 mediumopentechnical
A high-yield business savings account can be offered via the sponsor bank as a white-label product (as Mercury and Baselane do).

ASM-017 highopenorganizational
A ~1.5-month, dashboard-first POV with the back end stubbed (no live banking/Digits/Cerbo/Gusto) is sufficient to decide whether to fund the strategy at scale (graduate or honestly retire).

Deliverable · Glossary

Product Glossary

The shared vocabulary — 66 terms across five categories.

Business10
BaaS
Banking-as-a-Service — a model where NewCo BaaS delivers branded FDIC-insured banking products through a sponsor bank's regulated infrastructure and APIs. Core platform model
Beachhead
The initial narrow market a product wins before expanding. For NewCo BaaS: independent medical (functional-medicine-led) and dental practices; restaurants are a Phase-2 expansion, not the beachhead. Go-to-market
Deposit Float
Net interest margin earned on customer deposit balances held at the sponsor bank, shared per partnership agreement. Revenue model
NewCo BaaS TAX Advisory
Mike-owned tax advisory and bookkeeping firm (dba Treasure Valley Financial Services) providing design partners, human-in-the-loop bookkeeping, and initial distribution channel. Mike's ecosystem
Enduro Wealth Management
Mike-owned Idaho-registered investment advisor (RIA) providing wealth management, retirement planning, and estate planning services. Mike's ecosystem
Henry Schein
Established dental and medical distribution and practice-management software incumbent. A primary competitive due-diligence target Mike flagged before committing MVP scope. Competitor / DD target
Interchange
Fee earned on debit and card transactions, net of network costs, shared between NewCo BaaS, the sponsor bank, and card networks per partnership terms. Revenue model
Mckesson
Large healthcare distribution and practice-technology incumbent. A competitive due-diligence target for the medical/dental beachhead. Competitor / DD target
Proof OF Value
A short, funded engagement that tests whether a strategy is worth funding at scale — distinct from a proof of concept (which tests technical feasibility). NewCo BaaS's near-term artifact: a dashboard-first POV with back-end integrations stubbed, to decide 'graduate or retire' before larger investment. Engagement type (firm term)
Sponsor BANK
FDIC-insured financial institution that holds deposits, issues cards, and provides regulated banking rails through a BaaS partnership with NewCo BaaS. Banking infrastructure
Domain20
AR Aging
Accounts receivable aging report showing outstanding patient or customer balances grouped by time buckets (30, 60, 90+ days). Practice KPI dashboard
BSA AML
Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering compliance program including transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, and customer due diligence. Regulatory compliance
CORE USER FLOW
A product-level, implementable path through NewCo BaaS defined by a trigger, sequential steps, optional decision branches, and a success outcome. Referenced by flowId (e.g., FLOW-001). UserJourneyXplorer Pipeline 2
Chart OF Accounts
Structured list of general ledger accounts used for double-entry bookkeeping, with vertical-specific templates for dental, medical, and restaurant businesses. Managed automatically by the accounting engine; owner-operators do not maintain it manually. Bookkeeping
Clean AT Source
Data architecture principle where transactions are categorized correctly at the moment of ingestion, eliminating degradation that occurs when raw bank feeds are pushed into general-purpose accounting software. Core product principle
Collections Ratio
Ratio of collected revenue to production or charges, indicating how effectively a practice converts services rendered into cash. Dental/medical KPI
Double Entry Bookkeeping
Accounting method where every transaction affects at least two accounts with equal debits and credits, ensuring the general ledger always balances. In NewCo BaaS it is an internal correctness invariant that keeps books tax-ready and auditable — it is never surfaced to owner-operators as a task or concept. Internal accounting invariant (not user-facing)
FDIC Insured Account
Business deposit account insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation up to applicable limits, provided through the sponsor bank partnership. Banking core
FOOD COST
Restaurant cost of goods sold for food ingredients, expressed as a percentage of revenue, a primary driver of restaurant margin. Restaurant KPI
Functional Medicine
Independent, typically non-hospital-based medical practice model (often cash-pay or membership/subscription) focused on root-cause and longitudinal care. The medical beachhead entry point for NewCo BaaS; Mike already runs a functional-medicine KPI dashboard MVP. Beachhead vertical
General Ledger
Complete record of all financial transactions organized by chart-of-accounts categories, forming the basis for financial statements and tax reporting. Bookkeeping core
Human IN THE LOOP
Hybrid bookkeeping model where AI categorization handles routine transactions and accountants or managers review exceptions, ensuring trust and accuracy. Bookkeeping trust model
KYC KYB
Know Your Customer and Know Your Business identity verification processes required for opening FDIC-insured business accounts and ongoing compliance. Regulatory onboarding
Labor COST Percent
Restaurant labor expense expressed as a percentage of revenue, a primary component of prime cost alongside food cost. Restaurant KPI
Overhead Ratio
Practice overhead expenses expressed as a percentage of collections or production, indicating operational efficiency. Dental/medical KPI
PHI Exclusion
Architectural constraint limiting platform scope to financial data only — no protected health information (PHI) is ingested, stored, or processed, even for medical/dental customers. Regulatory design constraint
Prime COST
Restaurant combined cost of food (COGS) and labor expressed as a percentage of revenue — the single most important margin metric for restaurant operators. Restaurant KPI
Production PER Provider
Dental or medical practice revenue generated per clinician per period, the primary productivity metric for practice owners. Dental/medical KPI
Reconciliation
Process of matching bank transactions to general ledger entries and resolving discrepancies to ensure books balance with actual cash positions. Bookkeeping workflow
USER Journey
An experience-level path describing how a persona achieves a meaningful outcome, potentially spanning multiple core user flows. Referenced by journeyId (e.g., JOURNEY-001). UserJourneyXplorer Pipeline 2
